The journey to career confidence begins with one thing…preparation. Born into a blue collar family, Jason Zygadlo spent most of his childhood moving from state to state, as his family was always in pursuit of the 'next big job'. While this was frustrating and often left him longing for a stable place to call home, Jason leveraged that lifestyle by learning to build relationships quickly, a skill that would serve him well in the years ahead. He became the first person in his family to graduate from college, partly because he was so determined to avoid the job-hopping chaos and prepare for a brighter, more secure future.

 

After graduation, he decided to pursue a position in medical sales, one of the most sought after and highly competitive careers. As the interview process began, he found himself struggling to even get noticed. Never one to give up, he decided to stand in the parking lots of medical office buildings, handing out copies of his resume to passing salespeople and presenting himself as a stand-out candidate. This unconventional approach kickstarted a 20 year career in medical sales, and a reputation for climbing the ladder to land high level positions in the industry time and again. This led to counseling his peers to do the same, and the eventual launch of his career coaching business, designed to help other customer-facing sales professionals boost their credibility, confidence, and conversions.

Today, Jason is a sales trainer and consultant who teaches creative and unconventional strategies using the power of personalized videos to boost the customer experience and conversions. He has consulted across competitive industries such as automotive, pharmaceutical, medical sales, and mortgage.

 

A Certified Career Coach, his company, build.your.own.brand, was created to help his clients become more prepared to tell their stories with credibility and confidence in order to differentiate themselves and elevate their careers. Jason is also a public speaker and podcast guest on the subject of boosting careers through personalized videos and much more. In 2019, he was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma and is now a cancer survivor who has overcome his own career challenges through the power of resilience. Jason has written a book about his journey titled Built, Not Born, a playbook for turning personal setbacks into success.
